This is something else I bought at the foire à la brocante (antiques fair) last weekend. I know it’s another wooden box but, this time, it has something inside. There are some little wooden printing blocks which, the lady told me, were used to mark linen. Of course, the ink pad has long since dried out – lovely little tin though! – and I can’t get the cork out of the ink bottle – but I must have a play with printing some of the letters and patterns because they look as if they would be really pretty.

This look great and could be lots of fun. Although I am racking my brains to think of a good project!
….and I love the boxes below too 😀

I’m sure I’ll think of something eventually! I had to restrain myself today – I saw a letterpress printing machine plus printers trays and blocks in a charity shop but, luckily for my cheque book, it was near to closing time and I didn’t think they’d take kindly to me asking them to get it all out so I could have a proper look.
