A More Personal Diamond Anniversary

Celebrated with slightly less pomp and circumstance than the other Diamond Anniversary event this month, was my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary.

My mum would kill me if she knew I’d put her wedding photo online – she hates it, I don’t know why.

So,  as my dad’s not in the best of  health at the moment, they didn’t go out to celebrate or have a party but at least they were inside in the warm and dry and didn’t have to stand on a boat in the drizzle and wind and watch a concert for hours the next day.   Bless the Royal family – you’ve got to admire them.   Despite the fact that my flowers didn’t arrive, for which somebody will get a severe pasting from me today, I hope they enjoyed their day.  What an amazing achievement to be able to spend sixty years together and I am so grateful that they have.

Happy Diamond Wedding Anniversary Mum & Dad (and hopefully the flowers will turn up today!)

Such a lovely photo. And everybody looks so elegant. Sixty years is awesome, isn’t it? Wow. How close must you be to someone after all that time!

Beautiful photo!! 60 years! What an achievement.

My parents have been married 56 years this year – I don’t know how they’ve managed it without killing each other!!! I don’t think they know either!!! 😉

I hope you gave that (well deserved) pasting to the flower people and got compensation of a free weekly bouquet for you and your folks for the next year!
