A Tale of Two Kitties Part 2 – Yuki’s Story So Far

Hello, my name is Yuki (apparently the younger human in this house is a fan of all things Japanese) and I want to explain why the older human isn’t blogging about sewing or knitting or dogs or getting anything else done at all.YukiDay2 (11)Yuki

You might have read that I got stuck behind a wall.  My mum must have dropped me there and couldn’t get me out.  I cried and cried but the human who lives next to the barn had gone away for a couple of days and nobody heard me.  In the end, I couldn’t make any noise at all.

Suddenly, somebody realised I was there and got me out.

YukiDay2 (2)

Are you my Mummy?

I am very tiny now because I missed my food for two days and the human took me next door to where there is usually somebody home and they are used to animals like me.

They put me in a spare bedroom because there are big cats who live here and also big dogs.

Even though the humans came and played with me a lot – they say I’m cute – I felt a bit lonely and followed them around and sucked on their feet.  I liked to sit inside the human’s t-shirts and go to sleep and they said they might make me something called a ‘papoose’ to keep me warm.

YukiDay2 (7)

I’m not sure how to play with this and there is something inside that makes a loud noise.

Suddenly, there was a fuss and the human from next door made a delivery

YukiDay2 (4)

It was my sister

Then he came back

YukiDay2 (6)I think that’s my brother

and finally

YukiDay2 (8)Somebody else to show me how to play ball.

There are four of us living in the spare room now so I have warm fur to snuggle up with.

The humans here say I need to put on weight.  I weigh 270g and the others weigh 470g but they say I have now survived two nights since being stuck so they are hopeful.  The others are lapping from saucers but I’m still having a bottle as I’m so little.

YukiDay2 (9)

That will be me soon!

YukiDay2 (5)

There is a bowl of stones in the room and I think we are supposed to do our ‘business’ in there.  Here’s my big brother showing me how it’s done.  I don’t know how he knows this – cats are just clever I think.

The humans have said that, if I survive, even though there are already four big cats living here, even though they said ‘no more cats ever’, I have such ‘character’, they couldn’t possibly part with me.

YukiDay2 (1)

I don’t know why, do you?

Aw what cute kittens, and so clever too. One that can blog, lol. I think you’ll have problems not keeping them all 😃

We’ve already got 4 cats and 3 dogs so I think we’ll have to be strong. Although I haven’t been able to help getting attached to the teeny one and it’s useful to have a guest blogger from time to time when I, or Flo the dog, are otherwise occupied 😉

Awwww…. You know what, Yuki, I reckon the human who does the sewing and knitting and puts down food for the big cats and dogs must have a heart made of warm marshmallow. No more cats and dogs ever doesn’t apply to Yukis, does it, young furball?

    • #4 by tialys on October 29, 2015 - 12:56

Marshmallow for a brain more like!

      • #5 by katechiconi on October 29, 2015 - 12:59

Nah, the brain knows it’s not sensible, it’s the heart that’s causing all the trouble!

Oh, bless you for the great rescue and loving heart. I’m in love. They are all so precious. I agree with katechiconi…..the heart is the winner.

Your comment is appreciated – especially as I’ve just been cleaning up the floor in the spare room. They seem to think the litter tray is not only for poop & pee but also for laying in, playing in and spreading around the place :/ Bless them.

Oh but I’m yearning for a Yuki! A very clever Kitten.

    • #9 by tialys on October 30, 2015 - 12:03

He is and I’m hoping he’s clever enough to survive because he is sooo little. He has gained a little weight but still some way to go. The others are having a go at mashed up moistened kitten biscuits but he can’t manage anything but a bottle at the moment.

They are so cute Lynn… I couldn’t resist either.

    • #11 by tialys on October 30, 2015 - 12:00

I am trying hard not to fall for them.

You’re keeping Yuki! See, I knew you were a hero:)

    • #13 by tialys on October 30, 2015 - 16:34

Well, we’ll see but I can’t imagine parting with him if he survives – he is so tiny I think it might be an uphill struggle.

  7. #14 by lovelucie1 on October 30, 2015 - 13:42

    You have melted my heart!!

    • #15 by tialys on October 30, 2015 - 16:35

I doubt you have a heart that takes much melting Lucie 🙂

Kitten rescue would take precedence in my world too. 😉 Are the big cats rolling their eyes and muttering, “Not another one!”?

    • #17 by tialys on October 31, 2015 - 10:22

My own big cats haven’t met them yet Sue. I’m keeping them in isolation until they are a few weeks older by which time I’m hoping to have three of them (at least!) adopted into another family.

Lucky Yuki! Not only is your mistress very tender-hearted, she also has lots of balls of yarn for you to play with!

    • #19 by tialys on October 31, 2015 - 10:17

I never thought about that! I’ll make them a couple of pompoms to chase as the ball with the bell in it seems a little large and scary for them at the moment. I will not be bringing in half dead mice for them to chase around in order to teach them about hunting – as their real mother would have – so I suppose I’d better do something. Maybe I’ll produce a litter of vegetarians 😉

Crickey! Blogging at such a young age. So cute. I’m not allowed any cats on account of LH being allergic 😦

    • #21 by tialys on October 31, 2015 - 21:50

Or is he just saying that? 😉

      • #22 by Bekki Hill on November 1, 2015 - 10:18

We had kittens once and I thought he was going to expire on me – don’t worry, a second home was already lined up when we took them, in case we couldn’t have them. So yes, I’m afraid it’s true 😦

      • #23 by tialys on November 1, 2015 - 15:37

I’ll let him off then 😉

See? I had a feeling about him…..Yuki. Sweet little fur balls. I expect we shall be seeing his kindergarten picture as he gets a little older. Tenderhearted you. 🙂

    • #26 by tialys on November 6, 2015 - 10:53

Older and fatter I hope. It’s a shame that the room the kittens are in has only one window and no other source of light so taking good photographs is sooo difficult. I might have to take them to a ‘playroom’ elsewhere in the house just for half an hour or so in order to get some better pictures.
