More Calming Neutrals – Keeping It Real

blah

blah

blah

blah

blah

final blah

This was the draft for my next blog post.  I was looking at it and thought it would be fun to show you what passes for my thought process.  Lots of blah, blahs  is how my posts always start and, some might say, how they generally carry on.  So now you know.

I must just put in a bit of real blah though to say that all these gorgeous blocks – going towards my neutral palette F2F quilt – were received in the last few days from (in order of photos) Robin in Australia , Esther in the Netherlands and Kate, our esteemed leader, also in Australia.  Those last two were ‘spares’ sent by Esther and Kate in case I wasn’t happy with one of the other three they sent me.  As if! I don’t call them ‘spares’ I call them ‘bonuses’.

Normal blahing will be resumed as soon as possible.

Well, at least you’re not totally blahsé about things… It’s nice seeing a few of them together because you really get a sense of how the quilt might end up looking. It’s a lovely palette, quiet but sophisticated.

If only the same could be said about me.

(and don’t think I didn’t notice you managed to squeeze a pun in there)

You surely didn’t expect me to let an opportunity like that go…?

Of course not and now you’ve gone and encouraged others to put their punning hat on.

Love the blocks, such a peaceful colour scheme.

I think it will be interesting how it turns out in the end. I keep looking at fabric for sashing and backing but nothing has struck me yet.

that’s a lovely harvest of blocks you have there!

I need to get on and make my second and third blocks otherwise I’ll be falling behind.

I seem to have encouraged all the punners and comedians with this post 🙂

You’ll be having a blahst as the little squishies arrive. They look very prety together.

    • #14 by tialys on July 6, 2018 - 09:02

I am having a blahst! Just two more squishies to go now – better get on with my own blocks now I’ve seen most of what everybody else has done and then the work of deciding on sashing and backing must begin so I can get on with the QAYG . I’m going to try hand quilting it so I might be some time with a finish.

What a lovely set of blocks. I love the grey/pastel colour combo.

It’s a bit ‘different’ so we’ll see how it works out but I have a lot of colourful quilts and fancied something a bit more subtle this time.

I love them all. And no puns.

Also, I have nominated you for a Mystery Blogger Award. Feel free to ignore if you prefer.

Thanks Kim but, as I’ve turned some down in the past, I’d better keep doing so lest I offend somebody. Loved reading yours though!
