After the success of ‘the Constellation shirt’ you knew it wouldn’t be long before I got another one on the cutting table didn’t you.

Having discovered the last Liberty fabric design was actually called ‘Kevin’ and not ‘Constellation’, I was relieved to find that this one, which has long been lurking in my stash, is called ‘Pepper’ – aah, that’s better.

now you need a William to complete the set (wasn’t one of the Richmal Crompton gang called Kevin, or did I make that up?!!)

It could so easily have been… well, I’d better not go there in case I offend some unsuspecting person. But Pepper is a good name. And the fabric’s lovely, not too girly.

No – you can’t even really make out that it’s floral until you get up close.

Pepper is a top notch name. More to live up to, though.

Do people get paid for coming up with these names? And names for nail polish and lipstick? I want that job . . .
#15 by tialys on November 12, 2019 - 13:43
I have enough trouble coming up with names for the multitude of animals that seem to come into my life but, I agree, it sounds like quite a good job. Not as good as my dream job, however, which would be spending the day in a sort of play pen helping to raise baby pandas although orang utans would come a close second.

Quite a lot I think – whatever Shakespeare said.

Lovely fabric. I would have hoped it was called Nigel.
