Sobering Thought for the Day
Posted by tialys in Life in General on September 2, 2011
If I were to list myself for sale on my Etsy shop, I would be in the ‘antique’ category.
And before you feel too smug, if you are over 20, you would be ‘vintage’.
Recommence the Rummaging

Hoorah! The Vide Greniers have begun again. Loosely translated, this means EmptyYour Attics and they are the equivalent of Car Boot Sales in the U.K. or Yard Sales in the U.S. They run from around March to October/November and I have missed them. Mostly complete old tut is for sale but there are also many treasures if you rummage carefully. They are my favourite hunting ground for vintage goodies.
Unlike carboot sales in the U.K. they go on for the whole day and there is usually one to be found somewhere once the season gets into full swing.
No more lie-ins on Sunday mornings.
I Love the French for a lie-in, by the way, – it’s faire la grasse matinée – in other words ‘make a fat morning’ .
