Stunning Stationery

I remember, when I was at school, every time I started a new exercise book  vowing to keep it neat and gorgeous all the way through, to only use my best handwriting and not to doodle boys’ names all over it.  The resolve only ever lasted a couple of days, but the thought was there.

Even though I was at school with Noah, I still get that feeling every time I see fresh, new pages ready to be filled with my valuable, innovative and creative outpourings – at least that’s how I like to think of them – and, as I can’t draw to save my life ,  it helps if they have beautifully and artistically decorated covers.  So, for this week’s Saturday Selection, I have chosen this set of three such books from Raebekah.

Expat Excellence – SewSouk

It’s been a while since I did an interview for one of my ‘Little Chats’ so today I decided to have a natter with one of the talented members of the EtsyExpats group I have recently joined and show you some of her gorgeous items.

 This is what Sewsouk had to say,

 I am from England, married to a Moroccan with two teenage children. We moved to Morocco almost two years ago. I used to work in the City in London so the move here was a dramatic change. From a small child I have always loved making things. My mother was skilled at sewing, embroidery, knitting and crochet and passed on what she knew to me.

I love the vibrancy and colours of Morocco and the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans takes my breath away. I have been learning Moroccan traditional sewing and stitching techniques and stumbled across Etsy and the two have come together.
